The Balearic Foundation for Innovation and Technology (Fundació BIT) is a public sector entity of the Autonomous Community of the Balearic Islands that drives innovation, digital transformation and technology entrepreneurship on all the islands.
Fundació BIT was created in 2012 by merging several public entities of the Government of the Balearic Islands —Fundació iBit, Bitel and ParcBIT— and has managed their services, projects and facilities ever since.
What we do
- We manage ParcBIT, the science and technology park of the Balearic Islands, and the CentreBIT Menorca and CentreBIT Eivissa innovation hubs.
- We support entrepreneurs and technology companies through the Emprenbit incubation programme.
- We run innovation, digitalisation and internationalisation projects and services for companies and for the Government of the Balearic Islands.
- We promote science and technology and encourage STEM careers.
